Middle School
We are courageous and confident
Where Future Leaders Begin Their JourneyAt Cedarwood School, our Middle School is more than a place to learn—it’s a family environment where students are encouraged to dream big, think creatively, and grow into their best selves.
As one student shared:
"My vision of a successful Middle School is a family environment where we use a growth mindset to build our future self."
Here, a successful Middle School experience means growing into future leaders through innovation, teamwork, and a sense of wonder. Our teachers guide students to embrace challenges, celebrate progress, and see every opportunity as a step toward who they are meant to be.
Through hands-on learning, collaborative projects, and real-world problem solving, Cedarwood Middle School builds confident learners who are prepared for the academic demands of high school and beyond while staying grounded in character, compassion, and community.
Cedarwood Middle School is where potential meets purpose.
Middle School students grade 4th -7th are engaged in interactive collaborative activities and projects that allow them to apply the skills learned and demonstrate their level of proficiency. Cedarwood school offers students a highly specialized curriculum with an increased level of responsibility for academic work.
Our goal is to help students build skills for efficient studying, time management, & organization.
A modified block schedule allows students to receive instruction from teachers who are specialized in their curriculum area. The schedule provides both forty-five and ninety minute blocks of time for instruction. The modified block schedule allows for quality learning as well as further applications in each core subject.
Middle School students are expected to be school role models and leaders.
Older students share activities with younger preschool and lower elementary school students. Through involvement in Student Council, students assume leadership roles while promoting and participating in service projects throughout the school and our community.
