Mrs. Wanda Muhs is a certified ELA Teacher and a Lindamood-Bell Trained reading clinician with 25+ years of experience.
- What do sessions focus on?
Individualized instruction, independent reading, reading comprehension, reading fluency, decoding skills, phonemic awareness, spelling rules, sight words, symbol imagery, reading strategies, verbalizing and visualizing. Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars and/or Visualizing and Verbalizing programs; reading games; reading, spelling, and writing practice; other ELA activities as needed.
- How often are sessions held?
It is recommended that students attend sessions during the school day at least two times a week for 40 min each.
- How is progress reported to parents?
Student work is sent home periodically.
Progress reports are sent home at the end of each nine-week period.
Parents may correspond or meet with the instructor upon request.
- How do I enroll my child?
Complete an enrollment form for your child and return it to the school’s counselor.
The faculty will coordinate services and schedules for your child with the PALS program specialist.
