Bye Bye Birdie – April 2015
Formed in 1988, Cedarwood Drama Club is has been one of the most popular after-school programs. The Drama Club productions consist of students from 1st through 7th grades. Students are cast into parts appropriate for their age and skill level. Older students with more drama experience model for the younger students. While the production is the end result of our efforts in class, our focus is on the process. Our hope is to foster the development of imagination, cooperation, speech, self-expression, and self-confidence in an atmosphere of trust, acceptance, and FUN!”
Ranging from 30-40 members, Drama Club is divided into two practice groups: lst & 2nd graders, and 3rd-7th graders. Each group of Drama Club meets after school once a week for 90 minutes. All ages in Drama Club audition and are cast for parts in the Spring Musical. Students prepare for the musical all year until the April performances.
Drama Club is led by Drama Instructor, Emily Carmadelle, Cedarwood School’s Middle School Social Studies Teacher. Emily is a trained actress with years of experience in community theater. Read more about Emily Carmadelle
