Bachelor of Science in Special Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, and her Masters in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans.

Cedarwood School enters its 35th year this year.

Prior to opening Cedarwood School (in 1983), Mrs. LeBlanc was an elementary teacher in Orleans Parish and a private school administrator. She worked as an Educational Consultant for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The National Academy of Early Childhood Programs and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools have selected Kathryn as an approved validator (as she visits and approves other schools across the country).

Kathryn is a former Board of Directors member of The Parenting Center of St. Tammany, member of the La. Association for the Education of Young Children, St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce, and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. In the community,she serves as a member of the Mandeville Rotary Club, Professional Women of St. Tammany, and the West St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce. She is Past President of Leadership St. Tammany Alumni and was a 2000 Leadership graduate. She was also selected as the 2003 Business Woman of the Year by the West St. Tammany Business and Professional Women’s Association. In April 2008 Kathy LeBlanc received a national award, the “Innovations in Employee Ownership Award” presented in Chicago during the
National Center for Employee Ownership Conference. In 2012 Kathy was selected as a Role Model for the Youth Leadership Council of Greater New Orleans and serves on the St. Tammany Parish 22nd Judicial District Children and Youth Planning Board. She currently serves on the Children’s Advocacy Center Board.
